Pharmacy Twekkelerveld is part of Samenwerkende Apotheken Enschede, a collaboration between four pharmacies. At Pharmacy Twekkelerveld (among others), a DiGi Counter has been created using our queue number system with Sanday integration. The concept of the DiGi Counter was developed by pharmacist Mathijn Brummelhuis. Thanks to the DiGi Counter, patients can now be assisted more quickly and efficiently.


The DiGi Counter enables differentiation

When a patient enters the pharmacy, they input a collection code on the queue number kiosk. The Sanday system allows staff to see that the patient is present. The unique feature here is the ability to distinguish between patients with a healthcare query and those simply collecting medication they have been using for an extended period.


Patients who are only collecting medication are assisted by logistics staff. This frees up qualified staff to spend more time assisting patients with healthcare needs. "Speed and care delivery – that's the real benefit for the customer!" says Mathijn Brummelhuis.


Addressing staff shortages

By differentiating between patient flows, different types of staff can be allocated accordingly. Qualified staff assist patients with healthcare queries, while other team members handle patients who are only collecting items. This approach reduces the need for qualified staff and helps mitigate staffing shortages in the healthcare sector.
